All of your documents are important and necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of your business. Are they secure? How susceptible are they to fire and/or water damage? How would your company be inconvenienced by such a loss?

Consider microfilming and/or scanning of these vital records:

Engineering drawings

Legal documents

Personnel files

Medical records

Etc.

Today’s trend is to use hierarchical storage management, which means information is stored on-line (magnetic storage) while it is active; near-line (typically optical) as it matures; and off-line (microfilm) for archival and active storage. This hybrid storage provides the structure and redundancy necessary for proper document management and security.

Your other option is to do nothing and hope you never lose your documents!

Please take time to look over the list of services we provide and allow American Micrographics the opportunity to provide a solution for your document security needs.

Integrate inefficient paper records into convenient digital images or microfilm.

If storing and working with paper records has become time consuming and inefficient, it is time to change your image - from paper to digital files.

Whether it is high-speed aperture card scanning, document scanning, or large format digital imaging, let our staff of skilled professionals offer you a digital solution for even the most complex document management project.

With American Micrographics complete digital scanning services we offer indexing, OCR to search-able PDF, storage, network accessibility and online retrieval services. Our experience and quality control bring superior sharpness and clarity to every scanned image - the kind of quality that meets all government specifications.

If you’ve been thinking there has to be a better way to manage paper records, you are right. Let American Micrographics show you how.

A digital document management system from American Micrographics lets you access any record, study it, copy it and re-file faster and more accurately than ever before. Now there is a simple way to convert large drawings and documents into more efficient, convenient digital files. American Micrographics scanners handle documents up to 40-inches wide and, with our special linking program, virtually unlimited length.

Digital files condense paper records more than microfilming, therfore, reducing an 18 inch storage tray to one (1) DVD. The digital files also provide for redundant backup copies that can be stored in seperate locations. For permanent archiving of records, mircrofilming is recommended.

Our digital service offers document and microfilming scanning and associated services of data entry, creation of folder files, cropping and resizing.

Converted documents are returned via FTP and/or CD/DVD disk ready to integrate into your existing document management system.

Digital and Off-Site Storage

Requirements for document retention can often mean that paper files must be kept even after digital conversion of microfilm. In association with our parent company C. H. Coakley we can offer storage to meet your most stringent requirements. Whether digital, paper or microfilm, we can solve your long term storage needs.

Network File Services

One of the major benefits of digital file management is easy access to data at any networked workstation with safe, secure and instant access to searchable PDFs throughout the network instead of long, laborious searches through paper files.

File System Integration

File System Integration is the process of combining access to different files types and the associated data while providing the user with a unified view of these files and data. Whether we integrate a system with your existing network or create a custom document management solution we will work with you every step of the way.
